Oswestry Bowling Club
The foundation has made a donation of £500 towards the forming of a new Crown Green Bowling Club in Cae Glas Park.
The bowling green was acquired by gift in 1932 for the same purposes and two additional portions of land were added by purchase in 1951 and 1952.
The Park was formally opened to the public on the 23rd June 1910. The conveyance included a covenant on the part of the Corporation that Cae Glas Park would “not be used for any purpose whatsoever other than a public walk or pleasure ground”.
Helping in Tanzania
The foundation has built many relationships over the years and in many countries, so we were pleased to hear from Jonas who was Karl’s tour guide when he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Jonas reached out to Karl to see if the foundation could help pay for his daughter’s school fees. Covid has devastated the tourist industry, with the knock-on effect being that Jonas has been unable to earn a living as a climbing and safari tour guide. So, we helped Glory in Tanzania secure another year of tuition at Ilboru Primary School.
