2023 Funded Projects

Girl Guide expedition

Rosie contacted us recently to request a donation towards funding her Girl Guide expedition to Europe, taking place in August. Rosie explained that this would be a trip of a lifetime for her and that she was particularly interested in visiting eastern European countries.

She explained, “During the last six months, I have heard much about Ukraine from the Ukrainian mother and daughter we have been hosting in our home. I would especially like to visit countries within the former Yugoslavia, so that I can see how they have recovered and adapted since their conflicts of the 1990s."

Congratulations, Rosie, on being selected to represent Shropshire on this expedition. We were pleased to be able to contribute £250.00 towards your adventure.

Ye Olde Croft Bowling Club

We heard from our client Bryan that Ye Olde Croft Bowling Club in Oswestry needed repair. £500.00 was donated, and Bryan said that this contribution would go a long way towards helping to re-roof the clubhouse.

Music Mob

Music MOB has been delighted to have received donations from various local groups including Oswestry Town Council, Oswestry Borderlands Rotary and the Arts Society Mid Wales & Borders.

Pictured are Trustees Claire Stocker and Sian Tasker receiving a cheque for £600 from Karl Hartey from the Charlotte Hartey Foundation. All the work of the charity is funded by donations from individuals, institutions, clubs and trusts and we are grateful that many local groups are so supportive of children’s music.
