Snowdon Walk

In early July, a dedicated team from Toni & Guy in Oswestry undertook a sponsored walk up the Llanberis path to the summit of Snowdon to raise funds for The Charlotte Hartey Foundation. The group, made up of local hairdressers, showed great enthusiasm and commitment, ultimately raising £490 for the cause. Their efforts reflect the ongoing community involvement and charitable spirit of the Toni & Guy team.

Students receive donation towards trip of a lifetime

Students from The Marches School in Oswestry and Sir John Talbot’s School in Whitchurch are preparing for a twelve-day expedition to Greece in the summer of 2020. Their journey includes volunteering with Archelon, the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, as well as kayaking and camping along the coastline. The Charlotte Hartey Foundation made a financial contribution toward the expedition, with students visiting the Oswestry office to receive the donation from sponsor Karl Hartey, who emphasised the Foundation's goal of helping young people expand their horizons.

3 weeks in Cairo

Holly Jones, a university student from Hengoed and member of Weston Rhyn Church, received a £500 donation from The Charlotte Hartey Foundation to support a three-week outreach trip to Cairo. While in Egypt, Holly worked with Sudanese refugees in underprivileged communities, teaching essential subjects, leading creative sessions, and helping with building renovations and aid distribution. Her work had a profound impact, including furnishing a family’s home with basic necessities and ensuring continued support for their needs over the next year.
