Girl Guide expedition
Rosie, a passionate and dedicated Girl Guide, reached out to the foundation to request support for her upcoming expedition to Europe, taking place in August. Selected to represent Shropshire, Rosie shared that this would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for her, particularly as she is eager to explore Eastern Europe and the countries of the former Yugoslavia. Her interest in the region was inspired by conversations with the Ukrainian mother and daughter her family has been hosting, sparking a desire to learn more about how post-conflict countries have recovered and evolved. We were pleased to support Rosie’s journey with a £250 donation.

Ye Olde Croft Bowling Club
In Oswestry, the foundation contributed £500 to help Ye Olde Croft Bowling Club with much-needed repairs. The donation will assist in re-roofing the clubhouse, helping to preserve this valued local facility. Bryan, a client of the foundation, brought the need to our attention and expressed his gratitude, noting how important this support was for maintaining the club’s community activities and infrastructure.

Music Mob
Music MOB, a charity promoting music education for children in Oswestry and the surrounding area, continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of local supporters. Among its donors is The Charlotte Hartey Foundation, which recently contributed £600. Trustees Claire Stocker and Sian Tasker received the cheque from Karl Hartey, highlighting the importance of community collaboration. All the charity’s work is funded by donations, and this continued backing ensures children have access to music lessons and instruments, enriching their personal and educational development.
